A 10 minute ash emission occurred at Bulusan Volcano at 6pm on Wednesday 24th January. Ash fell at five villages SW of the volcano, Cogon, Monbon, San Benon, Gulang-Gulang and Tinampo. The emissions were not visually observed due to cloud cover. Steam emissions and volcanic earthquakes have been recorded over the past 24 hours. Alert level 1 remains and there is a 4 km radius Permanent Danger Zone.
