Eruptions continue at Sheveluch volcano in Russia. Lava flow is effusing on the south-western flank of the lava dome. Seismicity was above background levels this week. Hot avalanches occurred at the lava dome, and fumarolic activity. The volcano presents a hazard to low flying aircraft with ash explosions up to 10 km (32,800 ft.) altitude possible at any time.
