The eruption which began at Dolomieu crater on 30th August continues. Eruptive activity is limited to a 20 m high cone which formed on 9th October. On 10th October, there was snow fall on the volcano. Falls of snow in the tropics occur about once every five years on Reunion Island. The last significant snow fall at the volcano was in August 2003.
