Explosive activity has resumed at the summit of Mt Etna volcano in Italy. On the morning of 20th October, black ash was emitted from SE crater. Explosions from the crater were heard from Sapienza. Explosions only lasted a few hours. Lava flows have branched into two arms and flow into Valle del Bove.
