Mt Etna Volcano (Italy)

A new lava flow has begun at Mt Etna volcano in Sicily. The seventh eruptive event since July commenced just after midnight on 13th October. An effusive vent opened at the base of SE crater, and flowed into Valle del Bove. Lava descended to elevation of 2600 m above sea level. There was no associated explosive activity at the summit craters.
