Lava from Kilauea volcano has entered the Royal Gardens subdivision in Hawaii. On 29th January channelized 'a'a flow burned through vegetation and passed Tubarose St, Ali'i Avenue, and `Ekaha St. Lava has been flowing across old lava flows, and has covered some new areas. Lava flowing through vegetation can produce fire and methane explosions, and lava advancing over asphalt produces hazardous fumes and should be avoided.
