Pumice from the August 2006 eruption of Home Reef in Tonga has reached the east coast of Australia. Beaches in southern Queensland and Northern NSW have pumice at the high tide level. The pumice took 3 months to reach Vanuatu and 8 months to reach eastern Australia, 3400 km from the volcano.
